HOW IT WORKS

RULES

Players will compete in 6 tournaments to earn points and climb up the EVRD DGL standings. The players that finish in the top 3 spots will be awarded a stroke advantage during the championship tournament. A final championship tournament will be held to crown an A and B tier East Van Raw Dog Champion. 

A player's point total will be sourced from that player's top 4 season event results and top 3 doubles event results, so don't worry about making all 6 events. A player must attend the event on the day to register a score.

A new addition to this years EVRD DGL is the DOUBLES ROUND! After the normal singles event has been played, the attending members will be split into pairs to play for the doubles crow. The top scoring player of the day will be paired with the bottom scoring player, 2 top with 2nd bottom, etc. In the case of an odd number off attendees, the middle 3 players will play as a threesome. Players will earn points in the normal fashion (split between each player) based on the rounds results, and these points will be put towards each players overall season point total (top 3 results).

Doubles Rules: 

⦿ Both team members throw from the teeing area. The team then chooses which of the two positions to play from for the next throw. Both team members throw from the resulting lie, and the team again chooses which of the two positions to play from, and so on.

⦿ Teams may only pick the same players lie twice in a row. If a team selects the same players lie back to back, then that team must select the other players lie for the next shot. A teams throw order carries over to the next hole.

⦿ Both team member are allowed to attempt a put when within range. This does not effect the teams throw order.

There will be a running ace pot available at all tournaments! If a player scores an ace during tournament play, that player will be awarded with 10 points towards their season point total! If the ace pot is not chased during an event, the point amount is banked and carried over to the next event. Once the ace pot is cashed the point amount is reset to 10 points. The special events will not have the carries over ace pot available, however if an ace is scored, 10 points will be awarded!

There are 3 special events taking place this season. These events are considered "special" because the course is either pay to play, requires travel, or both. Because of this, it is expected that the turn outs will be lower. Doubles rounds will not be played at these events. These events will not count towards season point totals, but overall special event winner will be awarded a prize at the end of the season! 

The 2024 EVRD Championship will consist of 2 rounds of the red tee course at Raptors Knoll Disc Golf Park.

During the first round, the players that finished the season in the top 3 spots will be awarded a stroke deduction from their round's score.

1st: 3 stroke deduction         2nd: 2 stroke deduction       3rd: 1 stroke deduction

The four players with the lowest score at the end of round one will move onto the second and final round. The player with the lowest second round score will be crowned the 2024 East Van Raw Dogz Champion!
